Fleur-de-Lis Celebration

Each year BGHS honors an outstanding volunteer in preserving local and French Canadian history. Mark your calendar! Plan to join us for an evening of food, wine and history on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the Kankakee Country Club. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. The Fleur-de-Lis Award is presented at 6:30 p.m. Dinner and entertainment follow.

Proceeds from this event help raise funds for the restoration and preservation of the Bourbonnais log schoolhouse. If you cannot attend please consider donating to the Log Schoolhouse Preservation Fund

Fleur-de-Lis Program

 5:30-6:30 pm. Pick up name place cards with table number. Enjoy social time with hors d’œuvres, cash bar, or complimentary wine on the tables. 

6:30 pm. 

  • Welcome, Dr. Jim Paul, President Bourbonnais Grove Historical Society; 
  • Presentation of Fifth Annual Fleur-de-Lis Award of Excellence 

6:45 pm. Blessing, French-Canadian dinner cuisine, Reserve Perrin Côtes-du-Rhône wine, non-alcoholic drink, and French dessert

7:45 pm. Entertainment: 

8:15-9:00 pm. Concluding remarks:
